Would anyone care to comment on the various "mystery spots" located at various locations throughout the Earth? These are places where gravity/time/size becomes distorted. To the best of my knowledge nobody has ever been able to explain the causes of these weird effects. - Tom

On my Pacific Coast trip, I actually visited the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, California. I'll be writing more about it in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for it.

There was also an article about this same location in a recent issue of Fortean Times.

I've been to the one in Santa Cruz CA and also another along the CA north coast near Redwoods NP. Im a bit skeptical since in both cases the spots in question were visually deceptive. The platforms or rooms that you stand in are at a severe slant so you won't be standing perpendicular to the floor and the visual experience can be enhanced more so if you lean slightly. It kind of gives you the illusion that you can lean way over and not fall. Also pictures taken aligned to the floor are totally decieving. There are other things like wierd trees and abnormal compass reactions that probably could be explained somehow. Need a poll selection for "Been there, very interesting, but skeptical"

What's up with those places seen on TV where cars can slowly roll up hill while turned off?? Those seem interesting.

I'm also interested in locations where cars seem to roll up hill. Most of the time, this is just an optical illusion and the car is really just rolling downhill.

The most interesting site I heard about (I can't remember the location off hand) was a place where you could put your car in neutral and it would be "pushed" over a train track to "safety." The rumored explanation was that the ghosts of some children killed in a car that was hit by a train will now push cars out of the way.

I saw this site showcased on television and the host coated her back bumper with baby powder and then got back in her car as it rolled over the tracks as expected. Then, she got out of the car and looked at the bumper and lo and behold... there were tiny fingerprints in the baby powder left behind by the ghosts of the children...
